For the second year in a row, Westside Surgical Hospital and Breast Center was proud to support the Sisters Network Inc. in the 7th Annual Stop the Silence Breast Cancer Walk/Run. Westside Surgical Hospital and Breast Center held its first Between the Girls Education and Wellness event on May 11, 2016. This event was created by Jamesia McDonald, Certified Breast Nurse Navigator to bring the women of Greater Houston together for education on mammograms, breast cancer, support and financial options. A mix and mingle was hosted by Sacha Simmons of The Serenity Healing Center. On May 13, 2016, Westside Surgical Hospital and Breast Center hosted their first ever International Festival – Passport to Health. The festival was a celebration and showcase for the diversity of talents from across the world uniting to promote healthy habits. The back patio of Westside Surgical Hospital and Breast Center was filled with an eclectic and colorful array of artwork, culture and dance. Each culture had 3 countries represented, which included: United States, China, Japan, Philippians, Pakistan, Nepal, India, Haiti, Jamaica, Trinidad, Syria, Jordan, Egypt, Uganda, Nigeria, Cameroon, Mexico, El-Salvador, and Colombia.
